Nov 2, 2020 · Left to Right. 6 Grendel 105 Berger 2.380 (basically 6 ARC) 25 Grendel 131 ACE 2.580. 6.5 Grendel 123 SST 2.250 (factory) 6.5 creedmoor. I'm thinking 12.5" bolt rifle suppressed! The 131 should get around 2450fps. At 600 yards it's at 1800fps with 1000 lbs of energy.

My hunting buddy took his son out yesterday for our youth rifle season and he was able to harvest a young buck. He was shooting his dads custom built AR-15 using the Hornady Black ammo loaded up with the 123 eld-m. Shot was about 50 yards quartering to.
Apr 29, 2014 · The Grendel case class is suited for bullets up to 120gr. 6mm tops out at 108gr IIRC, where 6.5mm 150gr is about the top. I really like hunting deer and hogs with a 6.5 Grendel but if I wanted to go long for steel 6mm would be my choice. I dont care too much for deer hunting with anything lighter than 6.5mm. 1. 2.
Jan 16, 2009 · The case geometry of the 7.62x39 mandates a much more pronounced curvature to the magazine (as in the AK itself) for reliable feeding. In a straighter mag, like those used in the AR platforms, they'll give you frequent feed issues and stopages. Go with the Grendal, or as had been mentioned, the 300 Blackout.

Aug 1, 2022 · Until the 6mm ARC became available 6.5 Grendel was my favored deer rifle for roughly 5 years. shot placement & bullet choice can be more of a factor than your cartridge IMHO. Personally chose the bolt action CZ 527 action w a 22" barrel. used TTSX & SST's & preferred the all copper bulet. the SST was just more explosive than id prefer from a ...

I bought some Hornady Black 123 ELD-M ammo from academy because they were sold out of the sst ammo at the time (they still don't have any!), and I was dying to try the rifle out. So I zeroed it at 100 yards.

Sep 4, 2018 · It was designed to shoot 100-130 grain bullets, and most manufacturers made the 123's specifically for the Grendel (like the Nosler 123 Custom Comps), because most folks with rifles like the 6.5 CM and .260 Rem are shooting 130+ grain bullets because they have alot more horsepower than the little 6.5 Grendel does.
