Holy Spider is a 2022 Persian-language crime thriller film based on the true story of Saeed Hanaei, a serial killer who targeted street prostitutes in Mashhad, Iran. The film follows a fictional female journalist who investigates the case and confronts the killer, who claims to be cleansing the city in the name of Imam Reza.

A journalist descends into the dark underbelly of the Iranian holy city of Mashhad as she investigates the serial killings of sex workers by the so called "Spider Killer", who believes he is cleansing the streets of sinners.
