Admiral of the Fleet John Jervis, 1st Earl of St Vincent GCB, PC (9 January 1735 – 13 March 1823) was an admiral in the Royal Navy and Member of Parliament in the United Kingdom.
John Jervis 1st Earl of St. Vincent. 1735-1823. He was born on 9 January 1735 at Meaford Hall in Staffordshire, the second and younger son of a barrister-at-law, Swynfen Jervis. His mother, Elizabeth, was a distant cousin of Admiral Lord Anson and the sister of the Whig politician, Sir Thomas Parker.
