Hi u/mvorbrodt, Kindly be informed that the MX mechanical comes with proximity and ambient sensor which willl glow as soon as motion is being detected near the keyboard and depending upon the environmental lightings .It is not possible to keep the backlight on always as of now. Jan 3, 2021 · The keyboard won't shut off unless I hit the off switch now. I tested it for 30 minutes just now and the lights are still on. Inside the lighting effect menu for the G915 where you can choose freestyle and other effect assignments theres also this gear wheel bottom left..took me a while to find it.

Jan 21, 2020 · Combine them in a template binary sensor (with a delay_off) and use that in your automations. Hopefully it will pick up motion from one of the sensors and not turn off your lights. Here is an example from my system. If there's either motion, the TV is on, or the Google Home is playing, the binary will be on.

Dec 19, 2022 · If you reinstall standard keyboard drivers on your device (I reinstalled all drivers when I formatted my SB3's ssd and fresh installed windows), it seems to have worked, although it is a little finicky. If I remember correctly, there is a hall sensor that turns the light on when your hands go near the keyboard, but I might be wrong.
