Dec 31, 2014 · 1971's "Let's Scare Jessica To Death" is a true cult & horror classic. Sadly, it is often overlooked by horror movie critics who claim to be true horror movie fans. Because, if that were so, this would be. Remember this from when I was young. Creepy movie that never gets old!
Newly released from a mental ward, Jessica hopes to return to life the way it was before her nervous breakdown. But when Jessica moves to a country house with her husband and a close friend, she finds a mysterious girl living in there. Jessica's terror and paranoia resurface as evil forces surround her.
Arriving at the one-hundred-year-old Bishop family farmhouse, Jessica and Duncan see a mysterious figure of a woman inside. Upon entering, they startle the woman, bohemian itinerant Emily, and after apologizing for scaring her, they invite her to stay the night upon learning that she has no other home.
