  2. Jul 7, 2016 · I've never given up on Lewis Cook" "At some point you've got to accept that the player is just not very good." Since you always interpret my comments however you want to and not how I meant them and then argue with me that you know better than I did what I meant by a comment, I am going to assume that your comment is pretty clear.

  3. Apr 30, 2024 · Cook now has a system and manager getting the very best out of him. No point going back to a manager and style that he and we know is sub optimal for Cook. If Cook was to move anywhere, it should be higher than Wolves (with respect) and to a club playing a high press, aggressive and higher tempo.

  8. Jul 7, 2016 · Cook would have given England more balance and enabled stones to push up or full backs to go higher knowing that cook would cover them in defence. Click to expand... Or he might have struggled with the step up in quality and have got slaughtered by the same press pack now pretending they wanted him all along.

  9. Jul 7, 2016 · Whilst I fully understand the admiration for Christie, Solanke, Semenyo, Kluivert et al, big shout out to Lewis Cook, who has faced both adversity in terms of injuries and people jumping on his every mistake. Goes about the game in a totally unassuming manner and quietly plays bloody brilliant week in, week out.

  10. Jul 7, 2016 · Lewis cook deserved his full debut but has been set back by major knee injuries so his selection is not that random for a specialist choice in a position that the squad seems incapable of filling despite being a key requirement for how Southgate wants to play.

  11. Nov 1, 2023 · Lewis Cook can read the game well, that much is obvious. However his game is lacking in a lot of areas that make him a decent championship player as opposed to one that will ever be able to excel at the top level imo He lacks the mobility to cover ground quickly enough
