  1. Jun 16, 2021 · it was slow at first and the acting seemed stiff but eventually it gets really good, there’s a few sopranos alumni appearances too. 32. Reply. [deleted] • 3 yr. ago. It was pretty entertaining. Its no Sopranos but I think its worth a watch. 11. Reply.

  2. Feb 7, 2019 · Yes it is! I've watched Lilyhammer twice, and it was totally worth it. I thought the first two seasons were better, but I was not disappointed other than there not being more seasons. It's the first Netflix Original show! (done in coordination with Norwegian TV), and in my opinion it's good enough to be in the top 10 Netflix shows to this day.

  3. Dec 1, 2022 · This new Tulsa King is just the "serious" version with way more money behind it. Someone mentioned there are subtle connective hints in the show like mentioning rubicon (rubicon productions-lilyhammer) and the Flamingo bar (The character in Lilyhammer owned a bar called the Flamingo).

  4. However, he comes across as early 50s or late 40s (given a rough mafio life). He looks so much healthier and young than even in The Sopranos. Granted he's not smoking all the time and getting fresh air and less stress. I was just surprised how much younger he sells it. I like this character better than Silvio.

  6. Mar 5, 2019 · Lilyhammer Season 3 Ending - What do you think happened after ? I loved the whole series, seasons 1 and 2 being my favorite its so devastating that they leave us with so many questions that could possibly never be solved. One that confused me the most was why Torgeir's hallucinations came back and of Uncle Terry, It kind of worked with the guy ...

  7. There are also some subtle, and not so subtle, references to The Sopranos in Lilyhammer as well, with some of the more obvious references including: Johnny being called Silvio once; and basically the entirety of the episode where they travel to New York, with The Sopranos theme playing on the car radio as they drive, and Maureen van Zandt and Tony Sirico appearing in that episode as well.

  8. Nov 23, 2014 · This is definitely the show telling us that the events in Lilyhammer are in Silvio Dante's head during his coma. I agree the show has some pretty blatant mafia film references, some of which are cringe-inducingly copied and unoriginal, but I thought this was a brilliant move that pretty much places the events of Lilyhammer in Silvio Dante's head.

  9. Dec 31, 2022 · That would be the comparison, and I think Van Zandt was competitive but that the show was a different vehicle. Not a lesser one, but Lilyhammer was more sitcom, albeit dark black-metal Norwegian style, whereas Sopranos built a world over many seasons around Tony, his harsh exterior, and his interior life with Dr. Melfi, for instance.

  10. Dec 14, 2014 · Johnny coming to Lilyhammer has slowly tainted the entire town. Constantly bringing out the worst in people is having a profound and lasting effect. Through a campaign of extortion, murder, and bribery, even when wielded for good reasons (like to help his friends and family) he has turned a lot of good people bad.
