  1. The top level is - flatten the 7th in a major scale, add the 2nd, 4th and 6th to chords, 12-bar blues rhythm and lead. Nothing massively groundbreaking. I find Davids an appealing personality so if his course fits your needs, go for it.

  2. May 30, 2024 · I saw a multiple string test on YouTube..Respected Influencer Paul Davids...The Rotosounds won and the D'Addarios got knocked out in the first round..I think Ernie Ball Strings are a bit dull and break too easily by the way..Used D'Addarios since,I think it was 1988..Just consistent and the high E problem didn't appear for me until about 2010..You can tin the wraps with solder,I hate soldering..

  3. May 31, 2024 · Paul Davids seems a decent sort in his vids but why does he have to pull a variation of the same twatty ‘Wow, I’m so surprised’ face in every video preview photo Because the algorithm rewards it.

  4. Loved Paul Davids tribute and history of Jimis Strat. Probably wont be seen again when its sold on. Even made Denmark Street seem magical again.

  5. Paul clearly will have been paid well and part of a marketing campaign to sell it for big money, which has backfired. I doubt anyone really knows who PD is outside of the online guitar world. I don't take much notice of influencers because I make my own decisions.

  6. As promised some time ago, Paul has put his tonewood video out to go with the body shape one some weeks back. I enjoyed it but found it a little underwhelming. I think there was more interest in the shape one, this pretty much restricts itself to two sorts of spruce and just three back and sides timbers (it really missed a cedar top).

  7. May 30, 2024 · I've used Rotosounds from time to time. I wouldn't rave about them but they are very good, middle-of-the-road strings. Happy to use them again.

  8. Paul's promised follow-up on tonewoods is not up yet, but that will be interesting too. PS: if there is more joy to be found in this world than a maple jumbo can provide, lead me to it! 0 LOL 0 Wow!

  9. I do like Paul and he has great taste in guitars! He has a Collings OM2H too, the same as I had. I bought it as it was such s good deal, about £750 below it’s value, as the guy needed that cash. I ended up selling it thought, because it was too nice to take out the case.
