Prasthanam (transl. Reign) is a 2010 Indian Telugu-language political action drama film written and directed by Deva Katta. The film was produced by Ravi Vallabhaneni under VRC Media & Entertainment banner. The film stars Sharwanand, Sai Kumar, Sundeep Kishan (in his career acting debut) and Ruby Parihar.
Plot. Set in the backdrop of politics of Uttar Pradesh, Baldev Pratap Singh (Sanjay Dutt) is a four time MLA from Malihabad constituency. Baldev recently obtained a stay order against businessman Bajwa Khatri (Chunky Pandey), with which his popularity has soared and he is all set to win elections the fifth time.
