    • New Zealand Rock Wren (Xenicus gilviventris) As one hears from the name, the New Zealand rock wren is endemic to the South Island of New Zealand. Its Māori name, pīwauwau, means "little complaining bird" and mātuitui which means "twitch", after its bobbing motion.
    • Rufous-headed Hornbill (Rhabdotorrhinus waldeni) Native to the Philippines, the Rufous-headed Hornbill is one of the most endangered of its species. They sport a bony ‘casque’ which sticks out from the top of their wrinkly red-orangey bills.
    • Black-Naped Oriole. The Black-naped Oriole is a stunning bird native to Asia. It has bright yellow feathers with black markings on its head, wings and tail.
    • Rock Dove. Rock dove, also known as Rock Pigeon or Common Pigeon, is a member of the bird family Columbidae. It is considered to be an important creature worldwide due to its domestication by humans centuries ago; resulting in the modern-day Domestic pigeon which descends from this species.
    • King Quail. The King Quail is a species of Old World quail found in Southern China, South and Southeastern Asia to Oceania. It’s the smallest “true quail” measuring only about 17 cm long.
    • Sunda Pygmy Woodpecker. The Sunda Pygmy Woodpecker is a species of bird that can be found in Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. It has an average size range of 11.5-12.5 cm and its head is greyish brown with dark brown ear covers which contrast nicely against its light coloured body.

    • Imperial Amazon: Their population has plummeted since Hurricane Maria hit the Island of Dominica in 2017. Another threat to these birds is the loss of habitat.
