Feminist university professor Gedda (Johanna ter Steege) firmly believes that a man can only flourish if their wife takes care of everything in life. So that's what she does for main character and middle-aged veterinary surgeon Jan (Herman Finkers).
Jan and Gedda have been married for a long time in the Beentjes of Sint-Hildegard. They have known each other for a very long time, Gedda always tries to be one step ahead of Jan, who longs for more freedom.
