The Octopus Project is an American experimental band formed in Austin, TX in 1999 by Toto Miranda, Yvonne Lambert & Josh Lambert. Their first album, Identification Parade, came out in 2002, setting them off on a musical path that veers through blown-out rock’n’roll, vibrant electronics, surreal pop and expansive psych landscapes.
As we enter a year that will finally bring us flying cars, robot butlers and a telepathy-based internet, the members of The Octopus Project were astonished to discover that it's been 11 years since the release of their third album and perennial fan-favorite Hello, Avalanche.

The band then spent months recording and re-arranging the piece to create an ear-dazzling experience for anyone with a pair of speakers or headphones.
