The family of late Neighbours star Troy Beckwith has revealed his death followed a “tough battle” with cancer. Beckwith, who played the infamous villain Michael Martin on the popular TV show for almost a decade, died aged 48, it was announced on Sunday. The Melbourne actor’s sister, Juanita Sanger, announced his death on her Facebook page.
Troy Miller is a fictional character from the Australian soap opera Neighbours, played by Dieter Brummer. The actor relocated to Melbourne to film his scenes and his casting was announced in March 2011. He had a seven-week guest contract.
Neighbours is a long-running Australian television soap opera first broadcast on the Seven Network on 18 March 1985.
