The V/Line journey planner searches available V/Line services. If your journey contains multiple modes of transport, you might like to use the PTV Journey Planner. If you are planning a trip well in advance, timetable information may not be available for your dates of travel. Please call 1800 800 007 for more information on travelling with V/Line.
If your travel spans multiple transport operators and ticket types, for example, a long distance V/Line service and PTV buses, trams or trains, you are encouraged to obtain a single ticket for your entire journey. Plan your journey and buy your tickets using the V/Line Journey Planner tool.
V/Line currently uses the myki ticketing system on its commuter train services, in addition to machine printed paper tickets, issued from staffed V/Line stations, selected Metro suburban premium stations, V/Line ticket agents, online or by phone.
V/Line paper ticket includes all-day travel in Zones 1 + 2 and can be used in place of myki. Weekly Unlimited travel between the origin and destination printed on the ticket for seven consecutive days.
