Zeba is the daughter of Yahya Bakhtiar, a lawyer, politician and pre-independence Muslim League activist who served as the Attorney General of Pakistan, and also played a key role in framing Pakistan's current constitution.
After being found guilty of murder on 18 March 1978, Bhutto was given the death penalty and was executed on 4 April 1979. The execution of the democratically elected prime minister was dubbed “judicial murder” by many Pakistanis. Yahya Bakhtiar was chosen to serve as Pakistan’s Attorney General in 1988.
