However, cornflour gets absorbed really easily, flour needs to "cook" a bit. This only matters if you are adding it towards the end of a recipe..cornflour you could add, whisk in and serve, flour you'd have to add, cook for a bit, then serve.

I always buy plain and add baking powder if the recips calls for SR - one flour two jobs, saves on space too.
