I read Breitbart on a daily basis and I'm a Trump supporter. I don't see anything particularly far right about Breitbart, my understanding of what would be far right would mean blatant racism, a lot of religious talk, pro-drug war, probably at least some authoritarianism. breitbart rarely seems to even promote religion.
Breitbart is a conservative media outlet. They often write in an inflammatory way for clicks or to get a reaction. Jul 28, 2020 · They are a group called "America’s Frontline Doctors", and they’re founded by the same group that started the Tea Party. It’s extreme propaganda and I’m not a doctor, far from it, but it rubs me really wrong. I had this gut reaction when seeing the vid in my feed also and blocked/reported it immediately.
Breitbart was mad at Podesta and Media Matters for America because they helped foil the right-wing's smear job attack on Planned Parenthood. The right-wing had managed to destroy ACORN two years earlier with similar, dishonestly-edited sting videos. This tweet is criticizing Podesta for defending Planned Parenthood.
Interestingly, Andrew Breitbart helped Ariana Huffington start HuffPo, and then went on to create Breitbart as the anti-HuffPo. Not many people remember that Ariana Huffington used to be a conservative TV pundit in the 90's. She was almost as bad as Ann Coulter. So the Breitbart connection is not at all surprising.
