Oct 28, 2012 · The oldest GSD I've ever had was Honey who died when she was 13years 9months old. The oldest one I've known of was a former co-worker of mine had one that was 18 (she was sleeping behind his truck and he backed over her and killed her so who knows how much longer she might have lived). The breeder is also a trainer for german shepherds and started training the puppies as soon as she could. The puppy will be 12 weeks old when we get him.

May 6, 2018 · A good quality large breed puppy or adult dog food is important. I know they are many good threads on weak Pasterns. Vitamin c supplements and exercise in soft surfaces such as sand are suppose to help tighten genetic loose ligaments. Right amounts (not to high)of Calcium, phosphorus levels and not over feeding are important for healthy growth.
