Shaw Tower, also sometimes referred to as Shaw Towers, is a defunct high-rise commercial building located on Beach Road in Singapore. At the time of its completion in 1975, the tower housed the largest cinema in Singapore.
Aug 2, 2012 · In 1996, the cinemas at Shaw Towers were sold to the United Artists, which renamed the four halls into Grand Prince, Alhambra, Royal Jade and Emerald. The cinemas were later bought back by Shaw in 2001 before their closure seven years later.

Prince and Jade theaters were opened in 1977 by Shaw Organization and both theaters are located in Shaw Tower, one of Shaw Organization’s main commercial building.
Two new cinemas, Prince and Jade, were officially opened by Shaw Organisation in 1977. Prince and Jade were located at opposite ends and different floors of Shaw Towers. The cinemas operated separately as two discrete entities with a dedicated box office and foyer each.
Shaw Towers itself had two cinemas: Prince and Jade. However, Shaw Towers is now being torn down as well, to be replaced by a 35-storey integrated development with offices, retail and food and beverage offerings.
