Mensa is the world’s largest, oldest and most famous high IQ society, with around 150,000 members in 90+ countries. To join Mensa, you need to score in the upper 2% of the general population on a Mensa-approved intelligence test.
Mensa Singapore was registered in 1989 and is recognized by Mensa International to be one of only twenty countries worldwide to qualify for full National Mensa status. There are currently over 4,000 Mensans in Singapore, and growing.
Mensa International consists of around 134,000 members in 100 countries and in 54 national groups. The national groups issue periodicals, such as Mensa Bulletin, the monthly publication of American Mensa, and Mensa Magazine, the monthly publication of British Mensa.
Membership in Mensa is open to persons who have attained a score within the upper two percent of the general population on an approved intelligence test that has been properly administered and supervised. There is no other qualification or disqualification for membership eligibility.
