The first production 707 (a 707-120 for Pan Am) flew on December 20 1957, and entered service later the following year. Developments of the 707-120 include the similar 707-220, the shorter 138 for Qantas, and the stretched 707-320, which flew in July 1959.

May 2, 2019 · The challenge was how Pan Am aircraft interiors would relate directly to the company’s new livery. Both the 747-100 and 747-200 would receive the new cabins, and they would be laid out differently based on the airline’s identified needs. In came the Pan Am Blue Program, a program designed to overhaul all three of the cabins across the fleet.

The 312/313`s of PA were meant as fuel efficent L1011/DC10 replacements as well as capacity increase on some shorter sectors (together with A300).

Apr 3, 2000 · RE: Pan Am Tristar 500's #202087. BY Lindy - Tue Apr 04, 2000 11:12 am. In the late 1970's Pan Am bought 12 Lockheed L-1011-500 TriStars for long-range routes. In 1986 under severe cash constraints, the airline sold its entire Pacific division to United Airlines with half of their L-1011's fleet. Rafal.
