Btw, I've read the books by Diana Gabaldon too, so I might be biased a bit in my enjoying the series. Interestingly enough, I didn't like the second book either, it was the most boring of all books. Once you get past that, the books pick up once again (just like the original Outlander novel) again. Just hated the whole France thing.

A local on the Outlander Book Group also posted about seeing location signs nearby a “manse-looking” building. I did some (okay, a lot) of searching on Google Maps and finally found the place in the area she mentioned (Bo’ness).
Apr 9, 2023 · First and foremost Outlander is a historic romance series at it's core. The characters and setting all get explored in detail. The "traveling back in time" thing is more of a plot device in order to have fun with the narrative of a woman living in the past who is literally ahead of her time in the way she acts and thinks.

But the latest seasons have just not been good. Something is just off. Outlander season 5 is like, a hallmark period drama, but with rape.

We parked and plugged in at campsite, wanted to leave climate control on overnight but the car keeps automatically switching off itself and accessories (incl a/c) after about 15-20min despite being on charge. Any idea how to avoid this?

Aug 15, 2022 · It's a solid show that gets weaker over time. You're criticisms are accurate but it happens. But odd to me rape being prominent is impossible to watch like violent mass murder in every episode isn't a norm for tv. Never really felt the need to treat it differently than other fucked up shit on TV. 1.
