The death star detonating a few seconds later was just the cherry on top, and almost an afterthought. The throne scene sorta kept that feeling of happiness going, and people left the movie theater smiling and chatting excitedly. I was 5, almost 6. I'll be 50 in a couple years and I've never seen anything like that again.
Han Solo is way younger than Anakin. He is supposedly around the same age as Luke and Leia who are Anakin’s children and were born way ahead of the events depicted in ep. 1 when Darth Maul is literally cut in half and thrown into an abyss. Please explain.

Dec 22, 2019 · Yes. I dislike the film because of its implications for Han Solo’s overall story. With that said, I enjoyed it when I saw it in theaters. It’s a fun ride, just very bad for the overall Han Solo canon. That’s just my opinion, though!

Literally just a play to get non-hard core fans to google him afterwards and learn the whole Clone Wars/Rebels backstory, and set him up as the big villain of the Solo trilogy. Especially after Rogue One, one of the least business-cynical ventures in recent hollywood memory (they literally kill off the entire cast of likeable rogues at the end!), Solo was such a let down and a bummer.
-I enjoyed Solo: A Star Wars Story more than I expected to, but it’s also the first live-action theatrical Star Wars film that doesn’t feel like an event. Feb 10, 2023 · Didn’t change my mind a bit since the first time is saw it: Coming after TLJ didn’t help: a lot of people, including myself just boycotted Star Wars in theaters after TLJ, but the heart of the problem isn’t that: Solo could be an ok-ish and fun western l/sci-fi movie IF it wasn’t a Han Solo origin story.
As fan-edits go, my cut of Solo - A Star Wars Story is an effort to smooth up the characters and strain out the cheese.
