Feb 21, 2011 · Picture. Paramount release 48 HRS in its original 1.85:1 aspect and via AVC. For a catalogue title, I have definitely seen much better than this. The age of the film is worn proudly upon its speckled image, flecks and pops not obtrusive but a sheer testament to a complete absence of any sort of restoration having taken place.

The work print version was 145 mins, Walter Hill edited this down to 120 mins, then a week before the release, Paramount took a hacksaw to the film and edited it further to 95 mins.

Apr 9, 2001 · A tip would be to run it at lower than normal volumes,this will protect the driver.After a period of time say 4 hours use a day for 2 weeks gently increase the volume levels.Whatever you do dont go for full blown high volume straight away or you will cause damage! The last time it unexpectedly switched off was around i weeks ago. Again, I left it for 24/48 hours and all working fine.... up until the other day... On Sunday it switched off again. Unexpectedly. I did the usual.... checked the speaker wire etc.... left it 48 hours. Nothing. Left it today. Tried it this evening. Nothing. Its not turning back on.
