Jun 18, 2020 · I guess I kind of got it right with escapism but not 100% right with Suicide. And I agree with you, A Whisker Away is more of a story of suicide rather than a romance movie. Well I mean it is a romance movie at the end of the day but suicide is like #2 theme to this. Hope this makes sense.
Jun 21, 2020 · A Whisker Away is an allegory for suicide. It is certainly hidden, but here's just a few events I noticed: The Human-Cat Bar scene with the "previously humans" and decided to leave behind the human world (i.e. people that committed suicide to relieve themselves of their pain).
came to this post shortly after starting to watch the movie myself simply because i found the main character super cringe and annoying and these comments aren't giving me much hope. don't really see the appeal of a borderline stalkerish brat who constantly harasses her love interest as a main character.. are we supposed to like her? she's actually super creepy it makes me uncomfortable. not ...
Jun 18, 2020 · Nakitai Watashi wa Neko wo Kaburu, or A Whisker Away is a movie with the main theme of cats. Yes, many cats, a lot of cats. A light romance content with the supernatural matter involved, resulting in a perfect combination of the movie. Story - 9/10 The story starts off pretty quickly, so watching a trailer at least once is recommended.
A Whisker Away is like a badly written fanfiction. The main girl has absolutely zero respect for the main boy’s boundaries and has no problems stalking him. He has absolutely every reason not to like her, but — oh no, he made her cry, and therefore he’s the one that has to change.
Nov 7, 2021 · If you just want to watch well-animated cute cats and light-hearted fun, go for it. Unfortunately it falls apart once you start thinking about it - the main character is obsessed with some guy and spends the first half of the movie being a supernatural stalker, invading his home and putting him on the spot against his wishes and her friend's concerns on multie occasions.

Jun 19, 2020 · For me it's the thought of going away that gave me that impression. But people had been pointing out saying that's it's just severe anxiety and it might be true. A feeling of not belonging here. And holy shit the sexy lamp test got me good, never knew there was a term for a useless love interest.
