When I saw Cha Cha Real Smooth was out last week, I was excited beyond belief. But this movie felt deeper and Cooper Raiff's character seemed to have matured more in this movie (I know they're different characters but they seem so similar). Now I'm totally sold on his directorial and acting style, it's so intimate and funny.

It's a small, character-driven coming-of-age-story, which I know I have a soft spot for, but I've got to say as someone incredulous and a bit jealous that a 25-year-old had just had his film win Sundance and optioned for $15M, the film really won me over.

the Cha Cha Slide is one of those songs you'll hear at EVERY kids party to get people on the dancefloor. It seems like it's fitting here since he needs something to jump-start his post-college life, and he's trying to help the coming-of-age teen find her groove
Jun 28, 2022 · Man I thought you were talking about the song. 🤡. Fucken incredible. Really fun and deeply relatable for anyone who went to a lot of mitzvahs as a kid. Fun dialogue, but I gotta deduct a few points because Cooper Raiff can't distinguish between the way autistic people talk from the way that androids talk.
Jun 17, 2022 · I loved this movie. Top 3 for sure. Had a feeling from the start that they weren’t going to end up together, but like the movie says, falling in love is easy, but growing up is hard. As someone with misophonia, I had to mute one of the most important scenes because of the sound of them biting those popsicles 😫.

Dual is mostly just funny, but the humor is dark and so unimaginably dry and deadpan that's it hard to actually connect to anything. That's my opinion of course.
