Ed Mirvish (1914-2007) was the founder of Honest Ed's, a landmark discount store in Toronto, and a patron of the arts. He was known for his publicity stunts, his generosity and his influence on the city's culture and theatre scene.
Mirvish Productions is owned by the Mirvish family, founded by Ed Mirvish, who saved the historic Royal Alexandra Theatre in 1963. The company produces and presents plays and musicals in four downtown Toronto theatres, featuring Canadian and international works.
