Elysium is a 2013 dystopian action film set in a future where Earth is a polluted and impoverished hell and Elysium is a luxurious space station. The film follows Max, a dying man who tries to access Elysium's medical technology to save his life and his friend's daughter.
Elysium is a concept of the afterlife in Greek mythology, where the righteous, the heroic, and the chosen could enjoy a blessed and happy life. It was located in the western ocean, ruled by Cronus or Rhadamanthus, and described by Homer, Hesiod, Pindar, and Virgil.
