    You’ll want to start from Hyehwa Station, exit 2. There are signs along the way, but check out the map below for more details. Once you get past the restaurants and cafes near the main road, you’ll be on a road that pretty much takes you up and over and it’s easy to follow along until you want to come down again.

    • Ihwa Mural Village Was a Refugee Neighborhood. As mentioned, Ihwa Mural Village is one of Seoul’s oldest localities. Today, at a superficial glance, Ihwa doesn’t look that different from other high-class Seoul neighborhoods.
    • The Village Has Over 70 Murals. Again, as part of the ‘Art in the City’ campaign, many artists came to Ihwa to leave their mark. Currently, there are around 70 murals in the township.
