Jonquière est l'arrondissement de Saguenay le plus à l'ouest de la ville. Contrairement à Chicoutimi, qui a de fortes dénivellations, Jonquière a un relief assez plat, sauf entre Jonquière et Shipshaw. La seule hauteur importante est le mont Jacob (naguère appelé par les Jonquiérois le cran Jacob).
