Kirkland is a city in King County, Washington, United States. A suburb east of Seattle, its population was 92,175 in the 2020 U.S. census [4] which made it the sixth largest city in King County and the twelfth largest city in the state of Washington.

- Explore Lake Washington. Kirkland makes its home on Lake Washington's shores, the largest lake in King County and the second-largest in the state of Washington.
- Embrace the Arts. You don’t have to go far to find art in Kirkland. The downtown area is home to over two dozen outdoor statues and murals scattered throughout the parks, buildings, and sidewalks.
- Eat to Your Heart's Content. Kirkland has one of the best dining scenes in the Seattle area, with options ranging from fine dining to quick and casual. Several immigrant-owned restaurants and the diversity of cuisine are part of what makes a visit to Kirkland so rewarding.

- Bridle Trails State Park. If the Cross Kirkland Corridor Trail proves to be a little too urban for your liking, give Bridle Trails State Park a try. This park, just off I-405 in the south part of the city, has more than 28 miles of walking trails nestled under towering cedars amidst a blanket of ferns.
- Juanita Bay Park. Kirkland was built to take advantage of the waters of Lake Washington to its west, and after checking out some of the inland nature options, be sure to head over to Juanita Bay Park on the lake shore to see the nature where land meets water.
- Doris Cooper Houghton Beach Park. Another city park that makes the most of Kirkland’s Lake Washington location is Doris Cooper Houghton Beach Park, located in the center of the city’s lakefront expanse.
