Aug 9, 2006 · In 1987, it was announced that the Kowloon Walled City, one of the prominent landmarks in Hong Kong, would be cleared. It was completely demolished in 1994 and replace by a park with style of Chinese garden. Moreover, in 1998, the Kai Tak international airport, nearby Kowloon City, was removed to Chek Lap Kok.
