Nov 11, 2021 · The tour is the result of a collaboration between AS Roma, SS Lazio and the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). Tours will be offered in both English and Italian. The new opening was officially inaugurated on Thursday, as representatives from all three parties involved embarked on the first version of the tour.
The Stadio Olimpico is the home stadium of the two city football clubs playing in Serie A, the A.S. Roma and the S.S. Lazio. Rated an UEFA category four stadium, it can also host the finals of the two major UEFA club competitions, the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League, as well as the European football championship matches.
Stadio Olimpico is located towards the north of Rome at about 4 kilometres north of Vatican City. It is situated within the Foro Italico sports complex, which is enclosed by the river Tiber on one side and a nature reserve on the other.
