Oliver! is a British film adaptation of Lionel Bart's stage musical based on Charles Dickens's novel Oliver Twist. It won six Academy Awards, including Best Picture, and features songs such as "Food, Glorious Food" and "Where Is Love?"
Oliver is introduced to Fagin and his boys and taught their ways ("You've Got to Pick a Pocket or Two"). The next day, Oliver meets Nancy, an older member of Fagin's gang and the girlfriend of Fagin's terrifying associate Bill Sikes, a brutal house-burglar whose abuse she endures because she loves him.
With Ron Moody, Shani Wallis, Oliver Reed, Harry Secombe. After being sold to the mortician Sowerberry, young orphan Oliver Twist runs away and meets a group of boys trained to be pickpockets by their elderly mentor Fagin in 1830s London in this musical based on Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist.

Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Lionel Bart’s iconic musical, Oliver!, which he has fully reconceived with director and choreographer Matthew Bourne, will open in London at the end of the year. Oliver! will begin performances at Gielgud Theatre on Saturday 14 December 2024.
