Sep 8, 2010 · Posted September 8, 2010. Officially it is south Yorkshire - Yorkshire - the north. On some websites though we are classed as midlands. Some of my more northern friends used to refer to Sheffield people as the cockneys of yorkshire. I go for yorkshire though.
Apr 23, 2010 · It was the Sheffield and Rotherham Railway - see here.When the North Midland Railway was being built northwards from Derby towards Leeds, Sheffield was not considered an important enough town to justify building what eventually became Bradway Tunnel, plus cuttings etc., and so the line veered eastwards via Barrow Hill and Beighton to Rotherham.

In my experience NCP charges for short stay are very expensive so be worth having a look before you set off. Edited April 28, 2021 by butlers.
