Mar 18, 2016 · Picture 7/10. Charles Vidor’s Gilda gets a new Blu-ray edition from The Criterion Collection, presenting the film in its original theatrical aspect ratio of about 1.33:1. The 1080p/24hz high-definition presentation is presented on a dual-layer disc, and comes from a high-definition scan of a fine-grain master made from the original negative.

Sourced from a new 4K restoration, Joyce Chopra’s Smooth Talk receives a another Blu-ray edition, this time from The Criterion Collection, who present the film on a dual-layer disc in its original aspect ratio of 1.85:1 with a 1080p/24hz high-definition encode. The restoration was sourced from the 35mm original camera negative.
Jan 1, 2015 · Criterion also doesn’t do what they did with The Big Chill, which looked to have been ported straight from the DVD, but they look to be presented in high-definition. Criterion then closes the release with 7-minutes’ worth of Screen Tests , testing out Hoffman’s costumes and make-up, with Ashby even appearing, which is then followed by three theatrical trailers .
