Watertown is a town in Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Naugatuck Valley Planning Region. The population was 22,105 at the 2020 census. [1] The ZIP Codes for Watertown are 06795 (for most of the town) and 06779 (for the Oakville section). It is a suburb of Waterbury.

Watertown, town (township), Litchfield county, west-central Connecticut, U.S., on the Naugatuck River immediately northwest of the city of Waterbury. The site was settled in 1701, and in 1738 the community was organized as Westbury, an ecclesiastical society of Waterbury.

State and federal roads connect Watertown to surrounding towns and more distant areas of the State. US Route 6 crosses through the center of Watertown. Route 262 connects to Route 8 which is a multi-lane north-south highway.
