Aug 31, 2021 · Overall I prefer CoinMarketCap's UI being a lot more modern and cleaned up, but I see the appeal in CoinGecko's simplicity and layout. Features: CoinMarketCap offers more in terms of functionality and makes its features more accessible. CoinMarketCap includes a converter, watch list, price alerts and a news feed which I found very useful.
Aug 23, 2020 · I use the Coingecko app and it’s great. You can create a favourites list to follow only the coins you want to see and can even add your amounts to keep track of your gains or losses. They also have a cool currency calculator and the candies for daily use is a free reward. The news feed is regularly updated as well. I’m a big fan of Coingecko.

Now I don't mind paying a subscription to invest in my crypto comprehension, but I was shocked to see that subscribing to premium is $42/mo or $500/yr. As much as I love CG, that seems a little pricey for a premium membership.
