    Irene grew up in a troubled family. Her mother was a drug addict and her father was a gambler.She was raised by her paternal grandmother who taught her “relentless forgiveness” and to be thankful to be in a position to give.

    Irene studied in CHIJ Kellock Primary School and then in Outram Secondary School.
