Lee Kuan Yew GCMG CH SPMJ DK (born Harry Lee Kuan Yew; 16 September 1923 – 23 March 2015), often referred to by his initials LKY, was a Singaporean statesman and lawyer who served as the first prime minister of Singapore from 1959 to 1990.
The most prominent members of the family are Lee Kuan Yew, the first Prime Minister of Singapore, and his son, Lee Hsien Loong, the third prime minister. Other prominent members include: Lee Wei Ling, daughter of Lee Kuan Yew: neurologist and former director of the National Neuroscience Institute.
