Jan 16, 2018 · Shaw Theatres, part of the Shaw Organisation, was founded by the Shaw Brothers and has been operating cinemas in Singapore since 1927. Shaw Theatres owns seven cineplexes across the island, and they feature the latest in cinema technologies like IMAX, Dolby 7.1 Surround and RealD 3D systems.
Today, Lido is by far the most popular cinema on the island, accounting for the biggest share of the box office pie. The largest hall, Lido One, has a capacity of over 900. It was the first hall in Singapore to bear certification as a THX hall as well as SDDS, DTS, SRD and Dolby SR.
