So, just opened myself one of these at 5.27% for one year and was a bit surprised to see the account can only be managed by phone. No way of seeing your balance online and for some reason I'm reluctant to use it now.

It's the first time I have had a decent amount of money to save so did some research and this seemed to be a good one. On the link sent from MBNA they recommended that I downloaded the app - which I did - but you can only connect credit card and loan accounts to it.

I receive a text message to say 1 of my MBNA card will be closed and the credit limit has been reduced from 18k to £75. Later I checked the mobile app and the letter stated the account will be closed in 2 months mainly because I have not used the card for over 1 year.
