The Cody park complex is another of our favorite stops in North Platte. We enjoy the children’s rides and the Carousel (1913 Herschell-Spikeman original), the playground and the drive through mini zoo. Yep – you drive (or walk) around the outside of the zoo for free. North Platte is easy to get to by car, being conveniently located at the crossroads between I-80 and I-83. We have driven from Colorado many times along this route.
