Born to Hula is a song that was first released in 1997 on Kyuss/QOTSA Split EP and it was recorded when the band was yet named Gamma

Ray. It appeared years later on a different version as a b-side off The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret single, on Stone Age Complication EP and also on the reissue edition of Rated R. The older version starts off with guitar chords preceding the main riff from the song, while the Rated R version starts off with a drum loop which kicks in the song. The live version (often played on the Rated R touring cycle) mixes both, starting with the chords and then the drum loop going along the riff.
