  5. In line with YTSS' vision of a well-rounded education, the four arrows represent the development of the heart, body, mind and soul while the circle symbolises the ultimate goal of a well-rounded pupil. The blue background represents a peaceful and harmonious school atmosphere.

  6. Yishun Secondary School is the first school in Singapore to have an ALP in Sonic Arts. In 2015, Yishun Secondary School launched its Learning for Life Programme in Community and Youth Leadership, which focuses on providing students with opportunities to lead in serving the community.

  7. Yishun Town Secondary School (YTSS) was established in January 1986 with nine classes and 13 pioneer teachers. It shared premises with Yishun Secondary School before moving into the campus at Yishun Street 21 on 31 March 1988.
