The Naval Academy is the second oldest of the five U.S. service academies and it educates midshipmen for service in the officer corps of the United States Navy and United States Marine Corps. It is part of the Naval University System.
Applying to the Naval Academy can begin as early as your Junior year in high school and we encourage the earlier the better. We welcome you to learn more about our application process including how to apply for a congressional nomination and our fitness assessment.
You are eligible to apply for the United States Naval Academy if you meet the following criteria: A United States Citizen by 1 July of the year of entry. At least 17 years of age and must not have passed 23rd birthday on 1 July of the year of entry. Unmarried. Not pregnant and no dependents.
