- Purple Mountain. Considered one of the four famous mountains in Southern China, Purple Mountain is not to be missed! And if the crowds of Chinese tourists are any measurement of how popular it is, I’d say they agree!
- Confucius Temple & Qinhuai River. Qinhuai River, and Confucius Temple by the river are the must Nanjing places to visit. The Nanjing Confucius Temple, a large ancient architectural complex, is the first highest educational institution in China with a history of about 1,000 years.
- Nanjing Presidential Palace. Presidential Palace is the best among places to see in Nanjing, to learn the Chinese modern history from the late Qing Dynasty (1644 - 1911 AD) to the eve of the establishment of the People's Republic of China in 1949.
