  1. Oct 23, 2018 · 8. British English: 'All the best' is used interchangeably with 'Best regards' or 'Best wishes' or even 'Take Care' or 'Best for now' or 'Bye for now' when signing off a letter or email. It's friendlier than 'Best regards' or 'Best wishes' but not as familiar as 'Take Care'. 'Best of luck' is entirely different and specific to a need to wish ...

  2. Nov 28, 2010 · Nov 28, 2010. #2. You can say either one. When the best wishes are for a longer or indefinite period, we tend to say "in": I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. When the wish is for some specific thing (as in your example), I think we say "with" at least as often, although "in" works well, too.

  9. Apr 26, 2015 · So, of all the possible worlds, this was the best one. All those improvements you can imagine? Either not possible, or not improvements. God sits there tweaking dials until the world is most excellent. Sorry about the bad bits, you can't get the parts these days, no chance. Our world is "the best of all possible worlds".

  10. 10. Curiously, the statements. I will do my best. and. I will do my level best. are, on the face of it, assurances that the speaker intends to try hard and really hard, respectively. But they also can be used to cast doubt on the assertion. If someone gives you a task you feel is impossible to perform, responding with "I will do my best ...
