Even though there was SO MUCH legit historical records available (and many well read top academics that understood the archives) some still lots of dumbing down, hoaxes that proliferated (Maragtas, Princess Urduja etc.)
Marcos is a controversial figure there in my country and it's either people say he was a great president or a terrible president for the country. What I want to know is weather Ferdinand Marcos was really a malevolent dictator or that Marcos was actually a good president that we outsiders didn't know about or if Marcos was a mixed bag.

Ferdinand Sr. was not criminally indicted for anything because he was already dead. Marcos dissolved Congress so he could be the one to make laws, and therefore, he was a dictator.
