LAU Kong 1946–. Actor. Born in 1946 in Liuzhou, Guangxi, Lau was brought to Hong Kong by his parents as a baby. In 1958, he went to Taiwan’s Fu Hsing Arts Academy to receive training in Peking opera, specialising in the masculine da hualian role, where he took the stage name Lau Fook-kong.
